Medical ClinicDirector

When Mary first came to the medical clinic she was unemployed, her diabetes medicine was not working, and she had a urinary tract infection. She was also very concerned because both her parents had died of cancer and she felt like she was the only one left. It scared her to think that she could also die of cancer. The doctors and nurses at the medical clinic were able to straighten out her diabetes medication and treat the infection, pray with her, and give her hope for her future.

Mary will never forget her first visit to the clinic. She said, “I felt like I had a friend, not just a doctor. He prayed with me and really cared about me.” Caroline Coussens the Clinic Coordinator, has reached out to help Mary with hugs, words of encouragement and by taking an interest in Mary’s health – unlike anything she’d ever experienced from other medical offices and clinics. As Mary reflected about what the medical clinic meant to her, she said, “They hear what you say. They care. I feel like I’ve got family.”

Cave City 1st Assembly of God - 2009

Cave City 1st Assembly

"As a youth pastor I always want to challenge my students to take their faith outside the four walls of the building we call church.  After looking at many options and possibilities, the Tulsa Dream Center was the perfect fit for what we wanted to accomplish.  I knew I had made the correct choice for our yearly trip when Michael Pansano contacted me the day before we left and completely change the plan that had been in place for four months.  Being able to tutor elementary students on Wednesday, save the home of an eleven-person family Thursday, and educate the young and homeless the love of God was truly priceless.  As a group we really wanted to come and be a blessing to the Tulsa Dream Center.  The nine of us from Cave City 1st Assembly of God left pieces of us on that campus.  Even now, all of us “dream” of the day we can return to the Dream Center to continue to spread the love of God through a giving of ourselves."
