When Mary first came to the medical clinic she was unemployed, her diabetes medicine was not working, and she had a urinary tract infection. She was also very concerned because both her parents had died of cancer and she felt like she was the only one left.

When Jesus said "Go into all the world and preach the gospel (good news), he meant your neighborhood, your community, and your city as well. The city of Tulsa is in need of a mighty move of God, especially the area in which the Tulsa Dream Center is located. God strategically located the Dream Center in a place where people are in need of a sovereign move of God in their lives. We continually offer help and hope to many who are desperate to see a change in their life. For us to help more people we need more people to help. We could use more volunteers to serve in the areas of food/clothing distribution, recreation, after school tutors/mentors, and prayers warriors. Prayfully consider serving the Lord this fall/winter in any or all of the upcoming events. You can make a difference, one person at a time.

Sincerely,

Wendell Hope
Executive Director

Car Care Clinic a real “lifesaver”

This month, Jesse Gordon, a single lady brought her old Chevrolet van that was making funny noises to the Tulsa Dream Center Car Care Clinic. Jessie was not only concerned about the safety of her continuing to drive it but seeking a straight answer on what the problem was from an honest mechanic who wasn’t trying to steal money fixing something that wasn’t broken.

Thanks to the mechanic team at of the Tulsa Dream Center Car Care Clinic, Jesse was able to get a free oil change, an honest and accurate diagnosis of what the problem was and some prayer and encouragement along the way. With great gratitude Ms. Gordon expressed what a “lifesaving” team this group of big-hearted mechanics lead by Rodney Hemminger is to those who can’t afford to repair their only means of transportation.

Rodney Hemminger, David Horner, Hassen “Keg” Sharp, Ruben Brown, Steven Diedrich and Kevin Franklin made up this months Tulsa Dream Center Car Care Clinic team.

Summer Daycamp/After-school Program Update

The Dream Center Summer Camp has come to a close as nearly 60 students we ministered to all summer head back to school. However, we are confident that as they return, they will be more stable academically and emotionally. Fortunately, the story isn't over. We are now planning an after-school program that will continue a focus on Math and reading, with added programs to make their experiences with us fun. The program will start in September and run through April.
