Athletics
Vision
To see hundreds of young people & their families impacted for Jesus Christ through the tool of athletics.
Overview
The Dream Center athletic program is designed to reach out to the children and youth of the communities
surrounding the Dream Center. A special need to give children an opportunity to be part of more than their
normal environment is crucial in the transformation of lives and generations to come. Through athletics our
goal is to establish a Christian environment where children can learn sport fundamentals, exercise habits,
sportsmanship, and moral values that will be beneficial on and off the field for a life-time.
Athletic programs are offered year-round, providing safe, supervised activities for children to participate in. The Dream Center facilitates a majority of all instructional and competitive leagues, along with hosting sports clinics. Several of the Dream Center leagues/teams however; may participate with community athletic association programs.
Each child and family member that participates and attends any Dream Center athletic program is expected to comply with all rules and regulations set by the Dream Center in-conjunction with Victory Christian Center, Tulsa OK.
A child participating in an athletic event/team maybe asked to provide legal documentation to show date of birth, participate in team fund raising activities to cover athletic and team cost, and sign a liability waiver. Coaches and athletic volunteers will be required to have a child clearance act waiver, interview with athletic coordinator or Dream Center staff member, and comply with all rules and regulations set by the Dream Center in-conjunction with Victory Christian Center, Tulsa OK.
Program Components
Baseball
Baseball clinics are offered (two) times during the year. Local college and high school players and coaches will offer a weekend clinic that will focus on baseball fundamentals, conditioning and sportsmanship. Dates and times will be advertised when clinics are set up (check website or call with questions).
From these clinics, we then form teams for a competitive league for boys that focus on baseball fundamentals, team work, and spiritual sportsmanship off and on the field. Teams are organized for ages (8-11) the league runs during May-July and some traveling to other sports facilities may occur as competing with other local teams, in partnership with Tulsa Little League.
